This telephoto lens seems to work okay.
However, it is hard to focus, especially due to the auto-focus feature of the iPhone 5 camera.
The focus adjustment is fairly slippery, and easy to turn, making it not stay so easily at one distance.
The label (for focusing at 3M, 10M, 20M, ... infinity) on the lens is backwards from what makes sense.
The angle (field of view) is extremely narrow, which makes sense for a 12x lens.
Because of this, one has to either keep moving the setup, or wait for a subject to come into view, making it hard to get crisp, non-blurry, photos.

Got this for my husband who likes to watch birds from the back deck. He's gotten some great close-up shots! And now he won't have to take an extra camera when we travel.
