I figured i'd buy the battery and try that first - my phone kept dying even though it still had battery life, and it would reboot in safe mode and then show a low battery...this was like 5 bucks, so it was worth a shot (otherwise it was something wrong with my phone)...this battery works like my old one did when it was new...my phone is fine now - yay! Battery came in a little ziplock bag, and upon inspection, is EXACTLY the same as my original OEM F-M1 that came with my BlackBerry.

There was no sign of use on the gold contacts, which was a good sign, so I put it in my phone and... nothing happened. Figured it was discharged completely, so I plugged in my phone to charge it... and nothing happened (at first). Got a little concerned, so I left it alone for about 10 minutes, came back, and the phone had restarted and the new battery was charging correctly. Left it on the charger about 2 hours past 100% charge to "top it off" and used the phone normally the rest of the day. Battery power depleted as expected and at the same rate as the original. Charged it back up to %100 that evening, and haven't had a problem with it since.

Just give it a few minutes if you experience the same thing when initially installing the battery in your phone. Mine came drained of power completely and I had to give it just a bit on the charger to wake up. No worries.
