The LifeProof case offers awesome protection without adding bulk to my iphone like the Otterbox Defender. Love that the built in screen protector is clear and the screen is always protected. I didnt try the water test, but being the phone is around a lake and the case is supposed to be water proof makes me feel better.

The only thing that I dont like is while talking on the phone the sound is a little muffled. Not bad but isnt as clear as the Otterbox. At All4cellulars price this case cant be beat, Very happy with my purchase. (Posted on 5/9/13)

Had one before and liked the size. The $80.00 one never was never water proof and dust got in regularly. Its size and toughness was a plus but I'm hard on stuff. The door broke dropping it so I wanted a new one. Couldn't justify the price again tell I found you guys. The new one is water proof so far and the price was great. I admit, I was skeptical when I saw the LifeProof case for the first time. It wasn't as rugged as my OtterBox Defender...not at all. I did the "leak test", was glad my refurb didn't leak, and placed it on my iPhone. I don't think I dropped my iPhone even once while in my OtterBox, I've dropped it a hundred times since putting on the LifeProof case. Why? I have no idea! Missing the holder for the headset cover. This is shown in the image on the website, but ships without it. It would have bee nice to know, as ordering new ones from LifeProof is a $10+ cost - 50% of what this cover cost here. I wish they would make it clear that it wasn't included.

I am replacing the Lifeproof case which was protecting my Iphone 4S that was first dropped off my dock into the water and fished out with a crab net. The phone was fine. I later dropped the phone in the mud and ran over it with my Bobcat. The phone was fine, but the screen cover was scratched. The first one they sent me had a crack at the top and wasn't water proof. However, this site promptly paid for the returning shipping and had another sent to me within a week. make sure you test the case before you put it on your phone. these cases are known to leak under water. if you dont test it out before hand, you might ruin your iphone. take the extra couple minutes to get a deep pot of water and place the phone case (sans phone) as deep as you can and hold it down for a minute or two.

dry it off and check the insides for moisture.

the first one i got had a small leak, which is to say after a minute of submersion a few drops made it inside. if i were underwater for a longer period of time, the case would have been flooded and my phone dead for sure, so make sure you check

This case is light and slim for what it claims to do. However, it does not seem to be as sturdy as other cases that do NOT claim to be waterproof. It's seams are difficult to match up, and the headphone jack is difficult to use. The screen overlay gets very messy with smudges, etc. (Posted on 1/23/13)

I was happy with the price as I got it on the daily deal for $19.99.
It was the refurbished product so it did not come in retail packaging and also did not come with any instructions but luckily I had one before and knew how to install and check for water leaks. It also did not come with an extra cap attached to the headphone extender part (No biggie though for the price) I did check serial numbers and it was a legit case not a fake like some people have posted. I received the case and it had two different areas of scratches on the back from being dropped, and the front screen area had scratches on the inside. I've been wanting one of these specific cases for a while, but $50-$70 was pretty steep for a case I would only use when going camping, snowskiiing or anywhere near water. For $20, this is hard to beat, and appears to be the same quality as my friend's Lifeproof case (he spent $65 on his). Only downside I have found is that my friend's Lifeproof has a "nub" on the headphone cord where you can store the headphone jack plug when not using the cord (hard to explain). (Posted on 1/3/13)

It's nice to have the waterproof case, gives you lots more confidence especially here in New England with the winter snows. The refurbished price was great from All4Cellular. The case didn't come with the instructions on how to check for waterproof so I didn't know to do that prior to assembly. Read it on other reviews. I also wish texting was easier. The screen doesn't seem to respond that well to touch with this case. I had an Otter Box Defender case prior to this but it's not waterproof. That case worked excellent for texting. Thought I ordered black but got white instead. The email sent with information was vague with nothing on it. I am loving my new case. My only caveat is that I wish it had a little more padding. I got one because my 2 year old loves my phone and I keep expecting it to end up in the dog's bowl or the toilet. I'm glad I ran the recommended "tests" first, my first one leaked but All 4 Cellular was quick with the replacement and the new one works perfectly! Lifeproof makes a good case for protecting your phone. You need adapters to use the docking connector or headphones, and it muffles the ringer, but guards well against water and dirt. (Posted on 12/18/12)

Yes, it fully covers your beautiful device. But the case is not that thick for what it is. I tested mine in my fishtank and I was able to record video, just no autofocus due to all the water touching the screen. This means no pics underwater.

I ride a motorcycle and have a mount on the dash so I needed a case that was waterproof for when I ride in the rain. Don't have high confidence it could fall off at 65Mph and survive, but it will have a better chance than naked or most other cases! :) (Posted on 12/18/12)

I recently purchased an IPhone, my biggest concern was an accidental drop in water. These smartphones aren't smart enough to work when wet and i can't afford to replace them. My other choice was to pay double to triple the amount i paid for the waterproof case for insurance to cover water damage. it was a no brainer. I've had just about every iPhone case out there and my LifeProof case is by far the best of them all. It's sleek yet extremely durable and doesn't stick to the inside of my pocket like those crappy Otterbox cases do. Knowing that if I accidentally drop it or get it wet and my phone will still be safe is a great feeling. Yes it is light and not real bulky. And YES it IS waterproof. I contest I have swam 12 feet down in some hot springs in central Utah and took some rad photos.

Validate your warranty! I have had this product now for 6 months and have made two warranty claims, which both I was at fault for, not a defect in the product. I dropped my phone and it landed on the hatch door which put a small crack in the charge port hatch door, although not to the point that it would compromise its waterproofness, I figured it was a matter of time. Customer service took care of me and I sent in my back for a new one. No charge. Second claim, I had a bad habit of folding my headphone adapter which caused a short in it. This happens with any headphone cord if u bunch them up or roll them too tightly, MY bad. But they sent me a new one by mail and it took only a short phone call.

The volume buttons and the silent switch work great. No noticeable difference in touchscreen sensitivity. The phone functions close to just like it does naked. Best case on the market period. (Posted on 8/23/12)

I bought this case because my company iPhone 4 had sustained some water damage and it was irreparable. My employer gave me a new phone. I didn't want to go through the embarrassment of asking for another replacement phone, so I thought I would give this a try. Well, a couple of weeks after I put the case on the new phone, I couldn't find my phone one day. My Wife eventually found it - IN THE WASHING MACHINE! It had gone through the complete cycle and everything. I couldn't believe it and thought for sure that despite the waterproof case, it would be dead as a doornail. Well, I was blown away when the phone turned on right away. I took the case off in case there was any lingering water inside, but nope - completely dry! I was blown away!

I have not had any audio issues with this case. The only "issue" I did get was some of the "rainbow effect" or Newton rings on the display cover. I have since added a puff of baby powder inside the case and the issue is gone.

I was told about this case by a coworker and I decided to look in to it. I was shocked by the price, but I found all4cellular.com and it was about $30 cheaper. Score!

The case is easy to use/install and doesn't increase the size or weight of the phone as much as other protective cases.

Seems like a good, quality case, but it is irritating that the on-line videos do not address how to manipulate the on/off button above the volume keys. If I want my phone to ring,I have t take it out of the case. There are also some smudging issues with the inside/outside of the view portion of the case that I can't make go away, regardless of how many time I use a microfiber cloth/air duster. I love way the case has kept moisture from my phone. The only improvement would be for both sizes of iphone chargers to fit with the case on . Only the chargers with the shorter attachment pieces will work. Other than that it's great.

Contrary to some reviews in other places, it goes together fairly easily and comes apart fairly easily...just a little fussy. Tested it before inserted phone and it truly is waterproof.
