I am so glad I purchased this. I went on a 20 day rafting trip in the grand canyon. (no civilization for 20 days) this little gem came in very handy when I had no other way to charge my ipod. I was debating spending more money on a solar charger but all I needed it for was to charge my ipod so I started looking for something less expensive. This item was super cheap and had some good reviews. It was a musical life saver :) It not only charged my ipod but serveral other people on the trip were borrowing it to charge their ipods and iphones (for photo use only, no cell service) it charged 4 or 5 ipods before the 2 AA batteries needed changed.

it's not true that the battery is sufficient for 2-3 full charges, it'll barely charge 2/3 of the battery which is really good, I tried several type of batteries, its better if you use rechargeable one.
